Biologising Pain: An interactive evening with Lorimer Moseley (6.30pm – 9.30pm)

Tues 17th June 2008       Bath
Tues 12th August 2008   Nottingham

It is one thing to know the basic biology of pain, it is another thing to share that knowledge with patients. Theis evening aims to help bridge this gap. By taking an interactive 'conversational' approach, Lorimer focuses on real world explanations and their biological justifications. Key principles of modern pain biology and the important recent advances in our understanding of the biology of pain are initially presented. Lorimer then progresses through several real world case studies, demonstrating and discussing the challenges one might face, and the methods one might use to biologise patients' experiences. It is suitable for all working with patients in pain including physiotherapist, occupational therapists, psychologists, doctors and pain management teams.
