During the last ten years I have been inspired by the work of Japanese Fibre Artists and visited Japan in 2002 to meet with Machiko Agano in Kyoto.
The work of the American paper artist Angiola Churchill has influenced me to work with tissue paper, after seeing her installation 'Beyond the Garden' in Venice in 2003.
I have also experimented in other media. I have used acetate, cotton scrim, threads, plastic bags wooden skewers, acrylics and varnish.
My methods include dyeing, heat bonding paper and fabrics, mark making, stitching, drawing, fabric manipulation and I.T. skills.
I have created a technical base from which my design and content flow.
