The purpose of this site:
To increase the musical exposure of jazz musicians: especially those in the United Kingdom, and hopefully to generate more work for them.
To increase the sales of their commercially available CDs & DVDs.
To act as a link and a clearing house, for their activities.
For those musicians who have no web site - to provide information about them e.g. instrument(s) played; type of Band(s); geographical area available for work.
To link to those musicians who have web sites and would like a link to mine: no site would be linked without the prior approval and knowledge of those concerned. If at a later date, anyone decides to reverse their decision, then the link would be removed without question.
The pages featuring short extracts from private recordings only, will, I hope, have a "knock on" effect in expanding the profile of the musicians featured. All the DVD extracts have been recorded - to the best of my knowledge - with the co-operation and approval of the musicians concerned. So I have been informed, from the numerous sources from which the recording have emanated Obviously, it is impossible to be 100% sure regarding the latter. I can only go on what I have been told.
I would emphasize that should any musician not wish to take advantage of this facility, then of course, I would remove the relevant clip. As "U-Tube" is now "the order of the day" for many musicians, collectors and fans, theses DVD clips will also feature there.
It is my hope that the DVD extracts now up on my site, will be changed approximately every 3 to 4 months: so keep checking my site out! Have a buzz; have fun! Keep your ears "BIG".
Many of my musician friends, have been kind enough to value my thoughts regarding the promo CDs and DVDs they have sent me for my opinion. Thus, if you so wish please feel free to contact me about this.

A separate page will be available for discographical activity. As we are all aware, much of the "buzz" from such work is that no discography is finite. There always seems to be something else out there in the "musical woodwork".
To assist researchers, collectors and musicians, in obtaining information and recordings, where possible.
To hopefully to generate some interest for folks who – are either indifferent to our music - or because of poor media coverage have misconceptions about it. Yes I know we have all heard things like . . . . “I can’t understand it” . . . “I only like a good tune” . . . If only one in a hundred who hits the site out of curiosity has a change of heart, then that will be cool.
